No. Creating your profile is completely free and allows you to discover the talented, creative community around you and for your community to discover you.
If you're a host, your journey starts by listing your profile. Then, it's time to create your event! Pick the date, time, types of businesses you'd love to host, and the fee you’d like to charge. Once your event is live, businesses can apply directly, or you can invite your favorites. We'll spread the word to all businesses and post about your event on social media.
For our business owners, once you spot an event that catches your eye, go ahead and apply. Hosts will review your application within 48 hours. If you're chosen, you'll get an email with a payment link to secure your spot. If not, no sweat! We'll keep you in the loop about other events that might be your perfect fit.
Once all spots are booked, we'll share some marketing goodies and schedule a Zoom call for everyone to meet and greet. Remember to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay in the loop.
Event planning is part of the fun! We recommend choosing a date for your event at least 4 weeks in advance. Week 1 is for hosts to select their favorite businesses and for businesses to apply for events, sort out payments, and prepare for the big day.
Once the initial preparations are complete, it’s time to reach out to your community, stir up excitement, and start the countdown to an unforgettable event.
If you're a host, the event fee is the amount you request from each business participating in your event. We collect this fee from each selected business on your behalf and transfer it directly to your account on the event day.
For Vendors, the event fee is the amount you pay to secure your spot at an event. After you apply for an event, the host is notified immediately. They have 48 hours to review your application. If selected, you'll receive an email with a payment link to secure your spot.
Bring along anything that helps showcase your products beautifully. Typically, businesses bring a table, a nice tablecloth, display stands, hangers, and small decorative items like flowers or candy. Please remember, large signs can be a bit overwhelming for a home setting, so they should only be placed outside and only if absolutely necessary.
Popwith.me events attract a vibrant mix of attendees! This includes the local community, friends, family, and neighbors of the host, as well as local shoppers who are excited about the participating businesses.
Both hosts and participating businesses play a part in spreading the word. We provide a toolkit, content plan, and customized marketing materials for each event. Hosts and businesses collaborate to promote the event and draw in attendees. Bringing the community together is a team effort!
As each event is unique, with different hosts, communities, and businesses, it's hard to predict the exact number of attendees. But here's an exciting fact: so far, 97% of all guests at home-hosted events have purchased from at least one business.
